You’re not gonna like this one, anon… Rōti delivered free lunch at work today!! Way too much food, but SO delicious. I ate falafel, chicken, hummus, pita bread, couscous, and just about every kind of sauce they brought, too. My tummy is happy. Looks like I’m being EXTRA healthy for the rest of the day to offset this giant lunch!! (at RealSupport, Inc.)
Q:You're honestly never going to lose weight eating ranch and/or buying food from ikea. Most of your food posts are pretty terrible for you. Learn to eat clean, and maybe you can continue to post about "food and fitness" without looking like a complete fool.
Helloooo anonymous person and thank you for the great advice! And actually, I lost 3 pounds in the last 3 days, so my way of doing things seems to be working! :) Eating clean and obsessing about what you eat may be for some people, but it’s not for me. I LOVE cooking and trying all sorts of new foods, healthy or not. To me, living my life and being happy is more important than having the perfect body.
I’m on Tumblr for support in my efforts to become more healthy and lose weight, not for advice like yours or to become to perfect example of health and fitness. It seems to me that you are the one who looks like a fool by obsessing about the lives of others instead of worrying about yourself :)
At one point during spin class today I thought my heart was LITERALLY going to explode from my chest… thank god it didn’t. Am I the only person who contemplates leaving halfway through spin class… EVERY time? I rarely actually do it, but it’s a struggle every time and being really out of shape it’s helping anything. But I stayed and I’m so happy I got such a great workout in tonight!! I made myself a scrambled egg sandwich when I got home and cut up some carrots and celery. In case you’re wondering what’s in the ranch, it’s sriracha and garlic :) It’s only 9:00 now but I can barely keep my eyes open… so good night.
The IKEA trip I took tonight definitely counts as a workout… I (unfortunately) spent 2 hours there and had to load and unload all the heavy boxes by myself. But on the plus side, I have exciting new furniture and I bought Swedish meatballs with lingonberries for dinner this week!!! Definitely one of my favorite foods. And yes, I buy Jack a toy from the kid’s section every time I go to IKEA. He loves small stuffed animals and it doesn’t matter to him whether it has a squeaker or not! I might save this one for Easter :) (at IKEA)
Quick March Goal List
I’m a little late on this, but here’s my list!
- Lose 5 lbs. (more would be nice though)
- Workout at least 3 times per week
- Finish moving into townhouse!! We just moved in a month ago so everything is still a little messy and not everything is unpacked, so I’m giving myself till the end of the month to get it all done.
- Finish Tardis painting that I started months ago! To do that I need the above step to be complete so I have room to paint…
- Update online portfolio. Like, seriously. I’ve been meaning to do this since I graduated college.
- Work on doing the splits- Craig and I made a bet on me doing the splits by May, and Kelsey just informed me that it took her more than 2 months to be able to do them… so I may be in trouble… and I may have said I would take 5 shots in a row if I can’t do them by May 1st… yuck.
I might add more things to this later, but that’s it for now :)
Yay for re-activating my gym membership today!!! Feels good to be back.
33 minutes on the AMT elliptical
21 minutes on the Stairmaster (ouch!)
It sucks feeling so out of shape, but I gotta start somewhere. After my workout I made myself scrambled eggs with cheese, avocado, sriracha, and ground flaxseed (to fix my knees!) in an 80 calorie wrap. I may have also eaten some Canadian bacon while I cooked… yum.
I can’t wait to reactivate my Lifetime Fitness gym membership today!!
You guys are going to start seeing a lot more of me :)
It’s official- we’re moving out of our tiny apartment and into a townhouse on Saturday. That’s 3 days away and I have SO much to do!! Thanks everyone who brought us boxes and to my dad who also brought lots of handy packing materials. Time to get to work!! 📦✂️🎶 This counts as a workout, right? (at TGM Park Meadows)
A healthy breakfast to start off the day! I’ve lost 5 lbs. so far since January 1st. My goal is 5 lbs. per month for 5 months, so I’m doing good! Breakfast: Scrambled egg, skim milk American cheese slice, avocado, and Cholula on wheat toast with a side of fruit. Now if only I could put a sports bra on to go workout… it might be a few more days until my tattoo is healed enough to do that!!
