I don’t know why I titled this post so stupidly. Anyways, I was looking back through my posts from when I first started my blog. I used to eat so healthy! I would post everything I ate, even if I only had a couple crackers as a snack. W5D7: 4 Mile Run
I totally did not want to run this morning. I was pouting, whining, making excuses, etc etc. But I really didn’t have any excuses, so I had to get my butt up and run! And I’m ssooo glad I did because I feel so much better now. Yesterday, I could barely run 3 miles in under 10 min. pace. Today, I ran 4.69 miles in 40 minutes, which is 8:31 pace! I had so much more energy than...
There is absolutely nothing {physically} better...
I need to remember this next time I’m feeling lazy and want to skip my workout. The last thing I wanted to do today was run, but I forced myself to go and I ran 4.7 miles in 40 minutes! Within the first 5 minutes I was in a better mood and feeling great.
Never underestimate the power of a run.

Impromptu Treadmill Workout
Yesterday I decided to do some of my homework on the treadmill to burn a few extra calories. Don’t be fooled by the Tumblr dashboard on the screen- I did actually get some homework done!
It seems easy walking on the treadmill at 6 incline, 20 min. mile pace, but it’s not! Especially when you’re trying to do design homework at the same time. This was a test in my multitasking...

W5D6: 3 Mile Run
Does anyone else have trouble running in the morning? I’ve heard it’s easier to run in the morning because you have more energy… but I have not found this to be true. Although, Saturdays are the only time I run in the morning and I always do cardio Friday night, so maybe that has something to do with it. I dunno. Either way these 3 miles were hard. After a looonnng day of class and work, I went to Lifetime to do some cardio.

This is the result of: • 32 minutes on the AMT • 20 minutes on the Stairmachine • 14 minutes on the treadmill (ran 1 mile in 9:19 then walked)

Wednesday Update
My knees were killing me after running 10 miles this morning, but they feel fine now! I don’t know what it is, but right after pretty much any run over 4 miles my knees hurt. It only lasts for 10 or 15 minutes though, or until I’m done stretching, so I can live with it for now.

I was planning on running on the treadmill today since the streets were covered in slush this morning, but by the time I got back from class the streets were cleared and it warmed up to a whopping 15 degrees! I even convinced Jon to go with me :)

I got in a really good cardio workout yesterday at the gym. It started out good/not-so-good with running a mile in under 7 and a half minutes (woo!) and then feeling like crap afterwards because my chest was really hurting.

Jon took me out for an AMAZING dinner last night. We went to Kampai Japanese Steakhouse in Mount Prospect (if you live close to here- I highly recommend you try it).
